D-8 Secretariat Extends Happy Anniversary to Pakistan Istanbul - Turkey, 14 August 2012
D-8 Secretariat offered its felicitations on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the Independence of Pakistan and wished the people and Government of Pakistan a happy anniversary.
In the letter sent out to D-8 Commissioner of Pakistan and Ambassador of Pakistan in Turkey, Secretary-General Widi Pratikto expressed his confidence that Pakistan's active membership in the D-8 Organization, will be further strenghtened as a result of the upcoming 8th Summit and the two-year chairmanship. Pratikto also registered the Secretariat's deep appreciation for the excellent relations between Pakistan and the D-8 Secretariat that has been in order since the establishment of the Organization, and look forward to much closer liaison and cooperation.
