Administrative Arrangements
The information contained in the document is for the benefit of
delegates attending the D-8 Workshop Meeting on Metrology
(May 06th – 08th 2013, TÜBITAK UME - Gebze).
The main objective of this meeting is to share technical information within

3. REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION
Registration Form is attached (Annex-2). The completed form should be
submitted to Mrs. Hanen TIR not later than February 06th 2013.
Accreditation passes for all participants will be issued upon registration and shall
be worn at all times. For security reasons, participants may not be allowed into
the Institute TÜBITAK UME without proper identification.
Registration counter will be open at the venue of the Meeting as of
May 06th 2013 from 09:00 am to 16:45 pm.
TÜBITAK UME will provide hospitality (accommodation) to D-8 Member
Countries on the following basis:
For the Workshop Meeting:
Total 02 (two) participants from each Member Country.
4.1. Local Transportation:
Special transportation arrangements will be provided for participants by TÜBITAK
UME from the Airport to the Guest House and from the Guest House to the
Meals will be provided for delegates by TÜBITAK UME. Dinners, as indicated in
the programme, will be extended by invitation.
5. ACCOMMODATION FOR OTHER DELEGATES
Other delegates/representatives will be responsible for their all expenses
(including accommodation and meal)
6. PROTOCOL AND IMMIGRATION
6.1. Changes in Arrival/Departure Dates/Times
To facilitate arrangement of airport transfers, participants are advised to inform
D-8 Secretariat of any changes in the arrival/departure dates, time and flight
6.2. Return Booking / Confirmation
Participants are responsible for their air travel booking confirmation. Participants
can request D-8 Secretariat to process the booking confirmation by contacting
Persons seeking to enter Turkey must be in possession of valid passports or
other internationally recognized travel documents endorsed for travel to Turkey.
Such passports or other travel documents must be valid for at least six (06)
months beyond the period of stay allowed in Turkey. Participants from countries
which require visas must obtain visas before traveling at the nearest Turkish
diplomatic missions/consulates. The relevant information can be found at the
website of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Turkey at http://www.mfa.gov.tr/ .
7. HOST OFFICER / LIAISON OFFICER
A host officer/ liaison officer will be assigned to all delegation to provide

Medical facilities are available at TÜBITAK UME within the working hours. Any
delegate requiring medical assistance should contact the host Officer
