Celebrating 11th D-8 Anniversary, Secretary General Interviewed by TV 5

D-8 Organization, that has just celebrated its 11th Anniversary in Çirağan Palace, Istanbul, yesterday on June 15th, is getting a wider publicity for its dynamic endeavors in boosting coperation among memberstates.

Just after the celebration of its anniversary, Secretary General, Dr. Dipo Alam, was invited to a special interview program with Turkey’s TV 5, in Istanbul. Dr. Alam was explaining and discussing various issues, from the introduction of the organization to the recent developments achieved. He also talks about the organization’s success and decisiveness about the their objectives toward 10 years ahead. “It’s very essential for us to have the confidence that the cooperation among developing countries in the South-South Cooperation, OIC, and D-8 can be effectively implemented, as long as we are willing to focus on our commitment and make breakthrough, consistently and sistematically,” said Dr. Alam.

He underlined the successfully endeavored achievements to boost scope cooperation ranging from trade to tourism, from energy to civil aviation, and other significant areas. It was also suggested that in order to keep the pace of these developments, the organization and its memberstates should continue to provide their best support for the organization in all its pursuits. Currently, D-8 Organization has already enjoyed Preferred Trade Agreements, Custom Union Agreement, and Visa supports for businesspersons of the memberstates.
