Istanbul will support Jakarta water management

Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo visited Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Kadir Topbaş. In the meeting, it was decided that Jakarta will benefit from successful water management.
Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo of Indonesia visited Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Kadir Topbaş in his own office, Merter, on March 27, 2008. After the meeting, Mayor Topbaş and Governor Fauzi Bowo who made a statement to the press members, explained that experiences about water management will be shared with “Sister City” Jakarta.
Attracting attention to “Sister City” protocol between Istanbul and Jakarta, Mayor Kadir Topbaş said that “In this period there are mutual information and experiences sharing. Dear Jakarta Governor saw drinking water treatment facility of ISKI in İkiltelli. They said that it is very attractive. They wanted to help about water management. I told that a cooperation technically can be done.”
Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo who said that “Visiting to Mayor Kadir Topbaş was an honor for me” declared to develop relations of two city. Bowo “I congratulate to Mayor for water management. Because Istanbul is the most successful city and has the best plants in water management, I have ever seen. I think, we will learn so much things from Istanbul about water management. I look forward to develop relations of two city. Because; when relations of Istanbul and Jakarta developed, relations of Turkey and Indonesia will develop.” said.
