D-8 Public Diplomacy: Secretary General’s Paintings to be Exhibited at the OFID Headquarters Building in Vienna, Austria,

Having visited the OFID Director General of OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) in Vienna, Austria on January 21st 2008, the Director General of OFID Mr. Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish– impressed by the paintings of D-8 Secretary General Dr Dipo Alam, offered that Dr Alam’s paintings will be exhibited at the OFID Headquarter Building in Vienna, Austria in April-May 2008.
The paintings exhibition entitled: The Blue-Green-Turquoise Journey showing about 50 paintings dominated by colors of blue, green and turquoise of Mr. Alam’s paintings about tsunami in Aceh, and on his impression when visited the beauty of some countries of D-8 recently.
Paintings of Mr. Alam were exhibited in some galleries and museums in Rabat, Morocco; Prague, the Czech; Tunis, Tunisia; Alger, Algeria; Warsaw, Poland; Bratislava, Slovak; Copenhagen, Denmark; and Washington, D.C., USA.
Mr. Alam said that his paintings exhibition will be one of the efforts of D-8 public diplomacy to introduce and to promote D-8 to the public, as well as to maintain good relations and cooperation with some international organizations.
