Turkish and Indonesian News Agencies to cooperate

Turkey’s state-run Anatolia news agency and Indonesia’s national news agency, Antara, inked a news exchange cooperation agreement earlier last week in Jakarta, the Anatolia reported. The deal states that the agencies will benefit from each other’s news bulletins in English and will be able to get five photos a day. It will take over the three-year long term presidency of the Organization of the Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) by 2010, the Anatolia said.
The Communication Division of D-8 Organization expresses keen interest in this cooperation and expect that more flow of information will be opened to the publics of the two countries, to promote trade and tourism opportunities.
