D-8 Secretariat teams up with Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization to promote tourism investment

The Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization (ICHO) is one of the Vice Presidencies of Iran intends to carry out undertakings in hotel infrastructure with the cooperation of Iranian and foreign investors active in field of tourism. ICHO has adopted remarkable measures including the approval of 400 model tourist attractions in the cabinet meetings, topology of the regions, provision of investment packages (land, permit, etc.) for 150 spots for the construction of three-to-five star hotels, 200 spots for construction of rest areas, 150 spots for camping, 40 spots for hydrotherapy complexes and tens of projects on resort on resort towns.

To better portray the opportunities, ICHO along with the Iran Tourism Development Corporation will organize "International Seminar on Investment Opportunities in Tourism Industry" on August 24-25, 2007 at Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Hall, with the support of Iran Foreign Ministry, Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (affiliated to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance) and Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines. The Seminar will also attended by the presence of the Industry's insiders, Iranian and foreign investors, related ministers, Iran ambassadors to foreign countries, foreign ambassadors to Iran, banks' managing directors, governors, and of course Iranian President.

D-8 Secretariat keenly backs up this plan by disseminating this seminar information to all related organizations in the member states that can be interested participating in the event, and also to join the Eco-tourism program in West Azerbaijan of Iran, on August 26-29, 2007.
