The 2nd D-8 Expert Meeting on Ecotourism Cooperation Will be held in Iran, August 2007

On his working visit to several D-8 countries, Secretary General Dipo Alam had an opportunity to visit HE Vice President of Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E Esfandiar Rahim Mashae, on May 8th 2007. Besides discussing about economic, industrial, and trade issues, Secretary General and H.E Vice President also talked about the tourism potentials in D-8 countries. In relation to that, H.E Vice President extended his country's readiness to be a host for the Second D-8 Expert Meeting on Ecotourism Cooperation among member countries, to discuss about tourism cooperation and promotion among D-8 countries, alongside with the first Tour Operators meeting on 26-29 August 2007 in west Azerbaijan Province - Iran. The Iranian Tourism National Committee will provide local transportation and accomodation for up to two participants from each member country during the meeting.
