Iran, Malaysia set up tourism office
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | June 03, 2007 by
Iran and Malaysia have set up a joint office for the expansion of tourism ties between the two influential Muslim countries.
The head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization’s Office for International Relations said on Sunday the decision followed previous talks held between the two countries’ cultural officials.
Mohammad Kazem Khaldi Nasab noted that the new office would be charged with examining ways to attract foreign tourists and introduce Iran’s rich culture and tourist attractions to the Malaysian nation.
The establishment of the new office is aimed at bolstering the two sides’ tourist relations, bringing the private sector agencies to the field and holding cultural exhibitions, he added.
